Rain rain rain. 6.39 o’clock is getting a bit light. Rain rain. We hung around inside. M had already taken a short walk to check the rain and crossing. Greg and Donnas mailbox is up again. Took some pics of it and put on FB. Right before lunch I took a walk and had a little adventure. First up: COWS. I screamed at them and M took over and chased them up to Shayne’s road. I strolled down to the crossing which is very very wide with water now. But the mailbox is up. Walked back up and down along our fence, then along the tree line to the banana / avo / lilly pilly grove. Some different birds got annoyed but I sang to them and they settle down. On my way along the path to the creek shed. I hefty piec of branch had stuck straight into the earth and I could not move it so left it. Peaked into to shed and then opened it. A snake was stuck in the rat trap! Don’t know if it was dead or not. It was so dark and I did not check it. On my way to the creek side and disturbed our Brush Turkey which ran away. It usually doesn’t but ok. The creek was all the way up to the little hillside dipping down to the beach but had veered off where we usually have the pump. Then I walked back up by the Red Cedar and along the Privet line back to the house. Said high to two wallabies sitting in the high grass and they did not move and looked ordinary. Back inside M came along shortly after chasing the cows. Well a little morning adventure. The snake is probably a Stephen’s banded snake, poisonous lethal but not aggressive.
