Before we went to Port we walked around the garden counting oranges. There were no Mandarins and on the best tree there were no Oranges. But the other four had one or two oranges each. One even had four. We netted all of them. Precious fruits. Some years we have many. Some years we have few and some years birds and animals eat them before they are even ripe.

Two off the trees had abandoned birds nests. I also pruned the Fig tree in the garden and poked 3 twigs in som earth. The Fig in the garden grows in much too dark a space so we need one more down in the orchard.

Innan vi åkte till Port gick vi runt i trädgården och räknade apelsiner. Det fanns inga mandariner och på det bästa apelsinträdet fanns det inga apelsiner. Men de andra fyra hade en eller två apelsiner var. En hade till och med fyra. Vi satte nät runt allihop. Värdefulla frukter. Vissa år har vi många apelsiner. Vissa år har vi få och vissa år äter fåglar och djur up dem innan de ens är mogna.

Två av träden hade övergivna fågelbon. Jag beskar också fikonträdet i trädgården och stack ner tre kvistar i lite jord. Fikonträdet i trädgården växer i ett alldeles för mörkt utrymme så vi behöver ett träd till nere i fruktträdgården.
